IBEDC’s (Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company) visit to our school on Thursday (November 23, 2023) was enlighteningly interactive. The four-member safety team succinctly sensitised both staff and the students on safety tips at home, as well as our immediate environments.
Highlighted among the safety tips are as follows:
- Wearing of dry slippers why ironing;
- Avoiding use of extension boxes with heat-generating electrical appliances such as microwaves, water heaters, pressing iron etc;
- Ensuring that each home is equipped with thunder arrestor; and
- Not walking, trading under, or patronising traders under high tension lines.
Questions from students were then satisfactorily entertained. The highlight of the interaction was presentation of gift items by the IBEDC’s team to the management represented by the Principal, Mr Ayinde A. M.
The interaction was then rounded off with the Votes of Thanks presented by the Principal.
